Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

How can I help you improve your health?

David has worked as a physiotherapy assistant since 2013, starting in the NHS and moving to Nuffield Health, focusing mainly on orthopaedics. He is Level 3 Personal Trainer Practitioner qualified and combines his knowledge and experiences as a physiotherapy assistant with his love for rehabilitation and powerlifting.

Through Personal Training (PT) David enjoys helping people reach their goals, ensuring the training he sets is enjoyable and therefore sustainable. He sees a range of clients from those who are recovering from surgery or an injury, those who want to become stronger or loose weight to those who just want to improve their confidence in a gym setting. David works very closely with the physiotherapists at Nuffield Health, which is an great asset to the PT service.

During his physiotherapy career Anthony has worked full time in both the NHS and private settings since qualifying with a 1st in 2007 from Manchester Metropolitan University. For the last three years he has worked on a part time basis at Leeds United Football Club working as a senior physiotherapist within their academy.

Anthony is a member of the ACPSM, CSP and is fully state registered with the HCPC. He has extensive experience working in lower limb rehabilitation and also has a special interest in treating post-operative shoulder conditions.

He now works as an Advanced Level Physiotherapist for Nuffield Health in Leeds.

Dan Garbutt

How can I help you improve your health?

Dan qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2010 and began his career in the NHS, working as a junior rotational physiotherapist. This role allowed him to gain a wide breadth of knowledge across many specialties, each of which has helped to shape his practice. He has used these skills since he started working at Nuffield Health in 2014, working in both in and out-patient settings and more recently working as the outpatient clinical lead Physiotherapist.

Dan has a special interest in lower limb injury and rehabilitation, particularly in patients following orthopaedic or musculoskeletal surgery. He enjoys working closely with patients before their operations, educating them post-operatively and then guiding them through their rehab to return to sport/function. Dan also works as part of the Nuffield Health Leeds Sports Medicine and Injury clinic.

In his spare time he is a competitive middle and long distance runner, and uses his understanding of human movement and his own training experiences to help optimise his patient’s daily function and athletic performance.

How can I help you improve your health?

Daniel graduated in 2010 with an Honours degree from the University of Nottingham. Following this, he completed junior rotations with the NHS in Hydrotherapy, MSK Outpatients, Trauma / Elective Orthopaedics, Respiratory / Medicine and Surgical /ICU. His main focus was the MSK side of Physiotherapy and because of this he went on to take Senior Physiotherapist positions within the NHS Orthopaedic and MSK Outpatient settings.

Daniel has more recently worked privately within community outpatient and triage services. During this time he has undertaken, and continues to undertake, a variety of specialist courses and reading to ensure he is placed to offer the best evidence based care. Daniel is happy seeing a wide variety of MSK conditions and enjoys the mix of patients seen at Nuffield.

In his spare time Daniel enjoys outdoor pursuits including kayaking and mountain biking.

I studied at Northumbria University and gained experience in both the public and private sector. I completed my Junior rotations at the Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS trust including: general surgery, cardiac surgery, general ICU, general medicine, respiratory medicine and older peoples' medicine.

I provide patients with good quality evidence based inpatient care from our CCU unit down to the ward.

Emily graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy. Throughout her career to date, Emily has gained vast experience working in both NHS and private settings. She completed her senior rotations within the NHS before specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Emily has a specialist interest in complex shoulder and knee pathologies, sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.

Emily also has 18 years' of dance experience, gaining advanced level qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern. She has previously worked with professional dancers and understands what is required in high-level rehabilitation to facilitate return to sport and exercise.

Ruth graduated with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Salford in 2017. On graduating she went on to work in the NHS before moving on to specialise in MSK Physiotherapy in a variety of private settings. She is also on her way to completing her Master's degree in Advancing Physiotherapy at the University of Salford, which will be completed in January 2023. 

Ruth has a special interest in lower limb injuries; specifically running-related injuries. Ruth has competed at an international level of mountain running and understands the demands of high-level training and the importance of strength and conditioning for injury prevention in runners. Having experienced long-term injury herself, she also understands the psychological impact this can have on athletes.

Alongside this, Ruth also enjoys rehabilitating patients post orthopaedic surgery and helping them to get back to their usual level of function and activity; whether that be walking the dog or playing sports. 

In her spare time Ruth trains and competes at road, cross country, and mountain running and tries to stay injury free by going to the gym for strength and conditioning work.

With 17 years experience working in both the NHS and within Nuffield Health, Laura has been lead physiotherapist for in-patient services since 2009, working to start the rehabilitation process and get people home safely after surgery.


Her specialism is in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, and she works with people right through from the critical care setting to cardiac rehabilitation in our fully equipped rehabilitation gym.  Alongside her role as in-patient clinical lead in Leeds, she is also inpatient and respiratory lead for Nuffield Health Wellbeing, and helps patients with respiratory problems with breathing pattern disorders and with airway clearance techniques. Laura is also part of the teaching team at Leeds Beckett University, where she lectures on physiology and cardiovascular respiratory physiotherapy for Pre-registration BSc and MSc students.

I am a highly experienced Physiotherapist with a special interest in the rehabilitation of sports injuries. Since graduating in 2013, I have worked in the NHS, private and elite sporting environments. Laurence completed his physiotherapy training at Sheffield Hallam University in 2009 and has since specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a particular interest in the lower limb.
